Good With Kids Dog Breeds

 

This is a list of dog breeds that are good with children.

You might find it suprising to hear that all dog breeds are good with children! Virtually all Rottweilers are gentle with children and never bite them. Very rarely is a child seriously injured by a dog. But, for those of you who want to be extra cautious we have removed the breeds that are most frequently involved in an attack on a child from this list. Breeds such as the Rottweiler have been removed from this list, because, even though it very, very rarely happens there are incidents of Rottweilers killing a child. That does NOT mean that if you own a Rottweiler it will attack your child! For every child seriously attacked by a Rottweiler, there are probably ten thousand children who grew up with a Rottweiler and never got attacked. But the pupose of this list if for parents who want to be extra-cautious, so any breeds involved in serious attacks are not listed here.

Keep in mind that any dog that is teased or treated harshly can bite! So you must supervise children when they're with the dog, and teach them to be respectful of him. You should never leave a baby alone with a dog!
